The world's first museum devoted to the thought-provoking ideas and experiences of science fiction.

Synopsis:
What sets science fiction apart from other fantasies, and why does it so permeate our society? Two simple words enable the genre: What if…? This is the magic phrase that opens wide the imagination, and from this foundation all else follows. Unlike other forms of fiction, where the use of what if…? is limited to the exactness of the here and now, science fiction knows no boundaries or constraints.

Some might turn to it looking for absolutes, but that isn’t what they are likely to find. Science fiction’s strength comes from its ability to suggest what might be, or what could be, not what will be. It is a means of observation and extrapolation, not prediction. It is also a whole lot of fun.
